Filling the gap nicely between the hotel segment and longterm rentals – short-term rentals are a much-needed niche offering for business travellers on contracts, remote workers and summer swallows.
Short-term rental company Totalstay has partnered with Elemental Property Developers to launch Elements Luxury Suites, a development in upper Sea Point offering a luxury spin on the short-term rental model.
The development, whose position grants it enviable ocean views, offers contemporary two-bedroomed apartments are spread over two separate buildings – Elements on Main and Elements on Battery. The levels range from Luxury to Deluxe in Elements on Main and Luxury to Penthouse Suites in Elements on Battery. All however have high-end décor and state-of-the-art amenities, including various sustainable features.
You also have the benefit of a daily housekeeping service, 24-hour concierge support, airport transfers and various other benefits you’d experience in hotel type accommodation. Units have been fitted out in line with managing agent Totalstay’s hospitality specifications to generate a rental yield for Elemental, who can then sell the units as a turnkey investment.
‘In the current depressed property market, Totalstay offers developers another option to generate yield by creating a sustainable hospitality product which also enables them to sell the units as a going concern,’ said Totalstay Director James Woolley.
