The Rockefeller will redefine urban luxury from 2021

Launching mid 2021, The Rockefeller hotel in Cape Town is destined to become an icon of contemporary elegance in the mother city. The hotel – that will be managed by Newmark Hotels, Reserves, Lodges and Residences – will encapsulate the essence of the city’s tempo, making it the quintessential residence to live, work and play.

Avant-garde and polished, The Rockefeller will epitomise urban luxury at its best – emanating luxury from the word go. Once in the doors and through the generous lobby, The Rockefeller will offer a sense of privacy and sanctuary courtesy of carefully thought through design and an effortless sense of style – with the goal that the hotel becomes an oasis within the Cape Town metropolis.

The 300-room hotel has been designed to deliver an exceptional experience for guests and residents, from a rooftop pool with unrivalled views to the beautifully appointed décor that will offer guests a refuge from the busyness of the city outside.

Once completed, The Rockefeller will seek to redefine the Cape Town hotel landscape with its exceptional full-scale amenities and services – ranging from a laundry service, all-day dining, coffee bar and deli, to a bike room, conference facility, resident DJ and fully-equipped gym. The on-site spa will fit in seamlessly with the hotel’s ability to cater to business and leisure travellers alike and guests can expect best-in-class restorative treatments and experiences for optimal relaxation.

“As our other properties will showcase, our continuous pursuit for a distinction once again saw us benchmarking our concept and design against global best practices. We wanted to bring contemporary city living and amenities to guests without them having to leave the hotel. Whether it’s deluxe pampering or sumptuous breakfasts, lunches, dinners or cocktails – The Rockefeller guest will always only be a few short steps away from these and other premium amenities and services,” says Neil Markovitz, MD of Newmark Hotels, Reserves, Lodges and Residences.
