Roche Bobois | French Flair
Roche Bobois’ Kloof Street showroom is the first for the brand in the country and one of only a few on the continent. For those who aren’t familiar with this luxe design company, Roche Bobois is an international high-end furniture distributor and designer that was founded in Paris in 1950 by two families.
While it represents some of the most high-end homeware brands in the world including Ora Ito, Cédric Ragot, Sacha Lakic, Christophe Delcourt and Stephen Burks and with Haute Couture fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Sonia Rykiel Maison and Missoni Home, the company also does made-to-order designs, allowing for a huge scope of customisation.
The store is the perfect showcase for the vast range of furniture and homeware and the enormous space features styled tableaux that combine pieces in a relevant and artistic way, illustrating their combinability and craftsmanship. The company also offers an interior-design service, and Johannesburg homeowners can look forward to a store opening there in the not too distant future.
