Blok’s new Seapoint project ticks all the boxes for stylish urban living

Blok’s managing director Jacques Van Embden gave us some insight on what makes the company’s newest building so special.

How is TENONQ different to your other developments?
TENONQ is eight storeys and home to 53 apartments – the biggest Blok project to date. Communal living was a priority in the design brief and TENONQ’s scale allowed us to develop an innovative building where human interaction was drawn into the floor plans. The pet-friendly homes are mostly double-volume, ensuring all the benefits of an urban loft such as generous space and natural lighting. The homes are also enhanced by features such as space-saving kitchen joinery, built-in vanities and home offices as well as high-quality finishes.

Does the development offer a range of potential homeowners the opportunity to invest? How competitive is the pricing?
We strive to offer options to suit different buyers within our developments and TENONQ includes one- two- and three-bed apartments. The exceptional build and finish of these apartments also ensures that they are long-term competitive investments.

Why should someone choose to live here, rather than somewhere else, what makes it special?
TENONQ has a strong emphasis on thoughtfully designed shared spaces, which is a unique feature in its location. Features such as its 500mrooftop entertainment deck and gym ensure that the best views and the best light  are shared assets that improve everyone’s living experience. This also encourages residents to embrace an interactive way of living.

You’ve done a few buildings in the Atlantic Seaboard area, is this a particular focus for Blok? And if so, what about the area makes sense to you as a business?
The Atlantic Seaboard has the promenade, the beaches, access to the mountains, and a cosmopolitan mix of residents and businesses, all in extremely close proximity to the CBD and all the opportunities it provides. This combination of urban energy and its small-community feel make it a truly unique place.
