Riaan Roos, CEO of the Multi Spectrum Property (MSP) group of companies is the visionary creator of the award-winning Buh-Rein Estate, and now brings the opportunity for a modern rural farm-like lifestyle estate to Malmesbury with Klipfontein Farm Lifestyle Estate. He says: “Telecommuting is becoming more commonplace, and people realising that peace, fresh air, space and a slower pace are very covetable. Many recognise that a move to the countryside is a move in the right direction. We have taken this trend and skilfully merged it with modern-day living requirements and the upshot is a reinvented concept of a contemporary farm-like lifestyle. The initial releases within Klipfontein Farm Lifestyle Estate is Olive Place, which is the first of a number of subschemes within the greater lifestyle estate.”
The greater estate will offer a modern rural farm-like lifestyle surrounded by mountains, wheat fields and vineyards, with a host of features and offerings not typically seen in urban lifestyle estates. This includes 30 km of mountain bike and running trails, bird hides, outdoor gyms, a children’s pump track, on-site day care facilities and a contemporary country clubhouse offering a lounge, children’s play area and viewing deck. The vistas across the picturesque fields and town of Malmesbury and small game roaming around all help make for a tranquil lifestyle, while excellent perimeter security, 24-hour guards, armed response and access control ensure peace of mind.
Adds Roos: “MSP is well-known for its successful approach to super-estates such as Buh-Rein Lifestyle Estate. Malmesbury presented an ideal opportunity to extend our expertise to the countryside. The biggest challenge has been to provide buyers with a unique proposition, and we believe that Klipfontein Farm with its range of lifestyle and product offerings makes for a very compelling reason to move to the country without having to sacrifice modern-day necessities. Our estate further caters for a range of purchasers – from first-time buyers to larger families– making for a well-balanced living environment.”
The first of Klipfontein Farm Lifestyle Estate’s product releases is Olive Place at Klipfontein Farm. This will include 90 spacious simplex homes, 49 in phase 1 and 41 in phase 2, with two interior mood choices by B-sense Interior Design: Thunder and Grounding. These freestanding homes offer 8 different styles to choose from, ranging in size from 119 m2 to 140 m2, and have either two bedrooms and one bathroom, or three bedrooms and two bathrooms. All include a patio with built-in braai, and a single garage, with high-quality finishing options. Pricing is from R1 359 900, with no transfer duty. Two show houses are nearing completion.
“Olive Place represents the epitome of modern farm living. Here families will be able to enjoy tranquil country living with unrestricted access to the adjacent open spaces and parks, but with the convenience of being close to schools, recreational facilities and retail outlets. This uncluttered country lifestyle is set just a 40-minute drive from Cape Town and 20 to 30 minutes from Paarl, Wellington and Durbanville. An entirely new lifestyle literally waits on the doorstep. It’s simply natural for buyers to want more from the place they call home, and Klipfontein Farm ticks this box ever so nicely,” adds Roos.
Says Roos: “Property prices in surrounding towns have skyrocketed during the past decade, and all objective indications are that Malmesbury is earmarked for the next wave of growth. An investment in any part of Klipfontein Farm Lifestyle Estate is sure to be a winning one, with prices sure to escalate as the estate develops.” Swartland Municipality is considered one of the best in the country, and has twice won the award for cleanest town in South Africa, and has received the Vuna Award for being the best run and best administered municipality.
He adds: “Malmesbury might have a rural setting, but the town has a vibrant community of 77 500, and is set for expansive growth. The N7 connecting Malmesbury to Cape Town is currently undergoing a major upgrade which will see it becoming a two-lane dual-carriageway along its entire length. Netcare has been granted a licence to build a private hospital there, and two new shopping centres are being planned. The region’s wines are world-renowned, and there are beautiful walking, hiking and mountain bike trails, including the stunning Mount Royal 9-hole golf course within easy reach. These amenities and the relaxed lifestyle with quick access to Durbanville and Cape Town make Malmesbury a great investment, whatever your stage of life.”
