Sofa Company’s new ranges break out of the furniture-only mould

Since 2008, Sofa Company has sold furniture designed in Denmark and manufactured in the company-owned factory in Vietnam, for living and dining rooms (sofas, chairs and tables), in 10 countries across Europe and South Africa.

Having carved out a niche for itself for simple, understated and yet sophisticated pieces that lend themselves to stylish contemporary living, Sofa Company has become a go-to for a quality design with an international feel.

Sofa Company South Africa has now branched into the homeware space with a comprehensive range inspired by Scandinavian living. The range encompasses nine categories – artwork, basketware, candles and holders, scatter cushions, throws, lighting, mirrors, rugs, vases and glassware.

The new collections, as well as spanning product type, have been curated into ‘stories’ too – Quintessential, Contemporary and Refined. In keeping with the Scandinavian influence and the brand’s contemporary, minimal roots, light wood, natural fibres, handmade object d’art, and neutral tones feature prominently.

Sofa Company has endeavoured to keep the range priced competitively in terms of what’s available comparatively on the market, while also ensuring no compromises were made on the renowned Danish standards of quality, form and function.
