City spaces with outdoor living are hard to find – enter The Aster
Property developers Horizon Capital Residential have recently launched four exclusive garden apartments in its latest development, The Aster.
With outdoor space at a premium in the city centre, this new project gives homeowners the benefit of central urban living as well as some outdoor space. “We adapted our original design to bring something unique to market in the form of garden apartments in the City Bowl, offering purchasers a new apartment with the benefit of escaping into a private landscaped garden,” says David Sedgwick, Horizon Capital Residential Managing Director.
A boutique block with only 21 apartments, The Aster includes four that each have access to a private landscaped garden area. These gardens range in size from 22m2 to 80m2 and purchasers can select a jacuzzi-upgrade pack for their outside space should they wish. These apartments are ideal for young professionals or couples seeking the convenience and buzz of urban living, but who also want the benefit of an outdoor space. Naturally, these apartments are particularly appealing to homeowners with pets, who often struggle to find a central location with suitable outdoor space for animals.
Located on Firdale Avenue in Oranjezicht, the Aster is conveniently placed in one of Cape Town’s most popular and sought-after after City Bowl suburbs. Within easy walking distance is a myriad of boutiques, restaurants, bars and cafés along Kloof Street. The area is also served by excellent public transport within the City Bowl. And on your doorstep are the world-class beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay as well as the foothills of Table Mountain. This family-orientated neighbourhood also boasts views overlooking some of Cape Town’s most iconic sights: Cape Town CBD, Signal Hill, Lion’s Head and Table Mountain.
“The Aster maintains our responsible approach to development, and echoes our shared belief in conscious living. Residents can enjoy the benefits of sustainable features like solar water heating, water-efficient fittings and low-energy LED lighting. The four-storey building offers lock-up-and-go convenience with secure basement parking, CCTV, electric fencing and access control,” says Sedgwick.
The Aster is priced from R2.495 million (including VAT) and no transfer duty will be payable on transfer. The project is set to break ground in the third quarter of 2019 with completion set for the end of 2020.
